EUGENE, Ore. - Quarterback Marcus Mariota will work out with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the team announced on Tuesday.
The Bucs hold the first overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and have been widely expected to select Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston, who they will visit on Wednesday.
The team sent a five-man party to Oregon led by head coach Lovie Smith. General manager Jason Licht and offensive coordinator Dick Koetter joined him on the team's private plane.
Mariota won the Heisman Trophy last season following a campaign that saw him throw 42 touchdowns against only four interceptions on 4,454 yards, adding 770 yards and 15 scores on the ground. He led the Ducks to the National Championship Game, where they would fall to Ohio State.
