Eagles' Foles out vs Redskins

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Eagles quarterback Nick Foles will miss his seventh full game this season when the team faces the Washington Redskins this week, coach Chip Kelly said Monday.

"He's not cleared, he's out this week," Kelly said.

Foles sustained a broken collarbone in the Eagles' Nov. 2 victory at Houston when he was sacked by linebacker Whitney Mercilus in the second quarter of play.

Mark Sanchez has quarterbacked the team in relief since then, posting a 4-3 record in that time, throwing 10 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.

His led the Eagles to a Thanksgiving rout of the Dallas Cowboys before falling in two straight home games, to the Seahawks and their rematch with Dallas Sunday night.

Sanchez in those two games threw two touchdowns and three interceptions, completing 27-of-48 pass attempts.

Philadelphia (9-5) is one game behind Dallas for the lead in the NFC East after holding the top spot in that division for most of the season.
