BROSSARD, Qc. - Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty is day-to-day after sustaining an upper body injury in Thursday night's game against Anaheim.
He left the contest after receiving a hard check from Ducks defenseman Clayton Stoner.
A split second after releasing a pass, Pacioretty was struck from behind and propelled into the glass, with his head and neck area appearing to strike first.
He was taken to the Canadiens dressing room at 15:40 in the third period and did not return to the game, a 2-1 defeat for Montreal.
"He's back with us, he's day to day, we'll see for tomorrow," head coach Michel Therrien said Friday. "But the good news is, he was with us this morning."
Pacioretty leads the Canadiens with 25 points on 13 goals and 12 assists, 3 of which set up Alex Galchenyuk's hat trick against Carolina on Tuesday.
