The Washington Redskins may have their starting quarterback ready to play in time for their next preseason game after all.
The concussion Griffin suffered in the second quarter of the Redskins' 21-17 exhibition win over the Lions on Thursday does not look to be severe and he may be in play to take the field against the Ravens on Aug. 29, according to Mike Jones of the Washington Post.
Head coach Jay Gruden would not put any definitive timetable on his return to the field, but said his starting job will be waiting for him whenever he can return.
Griffin went 2-for-5 on 8 yards passing and was sacked three times before being forced from the game after the tackle that gave him in the injury in pursuit of his fumble.
